- Writing Guide Subscriptions (through www.writeforthebar.com)
Cancellation and refund policies for Writing Guide subscriptions differ according to the payment term and subscription type. The High Bar reserves the right to issue refunds or credits at its sole discretion.
Month-to-Month Subscriptions
When cancelling a month-to-month subscription, all future charges associated with future months of your subscription will be cancelled. You may notify us of your intent to cancel at any time, and your cancellation will become effective at the end of your current monthly billing period. You will not receive a refund; however your subscription access and accompanying subscriber benefits will continue for the remainder of the current monthly billing period.
Bar Prep Subscriptions
When cancelling a Bar Prep subscription, all future monthly charges associated with the remaining term of your subscription will be cancelled. You will not receive a refund, prorated or otherwise, for the initiation fee or for the remainder of the current monthly billing period. You may notify us of your intent to cancel at any time; your cancellation will become effective at the end of your current monthly billing period. However, your subscription access and subscriber benefits will continue for the remainder of the current monthly billing period.
You may change or cancel your subscription to the Writing Guide, by selecting “Unsubscribe” in your Account View. You may also change or cancel your subscription by contacting info@writeforthebar.com.
- TUTORING SERVICES
Due to limited availability and tight scheduling, when you purchase a tutoring package with The High Bar, we are each committing to work together for the entire bar prep season until the exam date.
Recognizing that cancellations and the scheduling of make-up lessons are disruptive to our ability to provide services, your refund options are limited.
By scheduling The High Bar’s tutoring services, you agree to pay full price for scheduled lessons, except as provided here:
- Individual Lessons: For individually-purchased lessons there is a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you do not cancel your individually-scheduled lesson with more than 24-hours’ notice, you will be charged full price for the lesson.
- Lesson Packages:For tutoring sessions purchased as a package, you may cancel for a full refund prior to two weeks before your first tutoring session. Season or lesson packages cancelled within two weeks of the first tutoring session will receive a 75% refund, provided such cancellation is made at least 24-hours before the first tutoring session. Cancellations made within 24-hours of your first tutoring lesson and prior to beginning your second tutoring session will receive a 50% refund. Lesson package fees paid are non-refundable after starting your second tutoring session. No refunds will be given for individually missed or cancelled lessons purchased in a package, but we will work with you to reschedule your lesson for another time.
Tutoring packages and lessons are non-assignable under any circumstances.
